Support unlocking

    any word on unlock methods for this phone yet? Wanna let loose of my captivate for this but im att and i hate it!

    have you contacted tmobile and asked for an unlock code? They provide it for free.

    ^^That's the same thing they told me at T-Mobile when I got mine.

    Will they give you an unlock code even if you are not in contract with them?

    YEP... You own the phone not the phone company so why would you not use the phone where it best fits your needs. I did this for a friend and a few days later he was able to use a TMOBILE branded phone only for his ATT service.

    I dont think you are..:) Honestly i dont think so but im no expert in frequencies. Hopefully someone will post who has more experience

    Thanks. I think after some research, I found that it will not work on AT&T 3G.

    Who knows.
