Or are they called bloatwares? VZ Navigator, Kindle, amazon mp3..how do i remove them? I don't use them and was wondering if there was anyway to remove them. Thanks.

So, it can't be done without rooting the phone? Also, what are the advantages of rooting it, does it alter the phone in anyway? Thanks.

It can't be done without root. Root allows you to tap into all that the phone is able to do, beyond Verizon's permissions. There's a pretty straight forward one step root. If you're interested, check it out in the root section. I used it last night, and I am re-rooted after the froyo update.

So can I root and remove all the ads / bloatware then unroot back to normal and they will not be there?
