I have a rooted Latte ICE Smart. It is android base and overall great! Just a few questions for the experienced. Is it possible to tap into mobile networks with this device? How? What are some good anti-virus apps, etc?

Use WiFi. If I'm right you're asking about hacking networks? Naughty naughty, very illegal. Just surf on the free WiFi networks (when you find some). If it's some kind of media player like iPod touch, but with WiFi, then I shouldn't expect it even has the hardware to even dream about being on GSM networks.
