Hi guys I recently recieved a replacement desire following an claim. Once out of the box i realised that this was vodafone branded (my original showed no branding). I was a bit pi**ed off with this so decided to have a go at rooting the thing. I used unrevoked3 and clockwork mod but due to this being 2.1 firmware found that I was unable to change the rom. I would now like to unroot my desire as it has seemingly developed a fault and repeatedly reboots, so I may have to send back.
This developed some 10 days after the root so don't think this is the cause. I also did a factory reset and the problem still occurs.
Is anybody able to help me remove the root? I will be eternally grateful.

Sorry about the long rambling post.

I think it you run one of the generic updates via HTC or the provider it wipes root. There are a number of standard ROMs floating around you can apply.
