Hey guys, I'm pretty much a noob at rooting here, but way back I managed to root via DroidMod. At this point, apparently their service has gone to shit or something, and when I open DM Updater, it asks me to install an update (which there is none), so it's completely unusable.

I tried Manually Return to Stock Android 2.0.1 | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog but it didn't work; I got to the point where I press "Flash Alternate Recovery" (it doesn't see update.zip)

Can you help? I'm sick of DM and just want to get to stock 2.2. Thanks!

if you still have sprecovery you should be able to just install whatever rom you like with the update.zip method

    Everything you need is here.

but first you may want to power down your phone then press and hold X while powering up and see if you can get into sprecovery. If you see a triangle then you dont have it anymore.
