So, this will be in addition to the current Phandroid app? What is the difference?

Well, in short - it's a fun way to follow the news being curated here in the /news/ section of androidforums. It's still in beta but, very functional at a core level - and the feature path is going to lend to a really cool way to have your voice heard with what you care to see and not, helping to evolve the app itself, and what you see here and on Phandroid.

Hard to explain but, it's very cool.
