Updates without a T-mobile Contract?

    I'm going to use the Vibrant without a contract over WIFI. Can I still get Android updates?

    you most likely will, just not OTA

    most likely you can download the file when someone puts it up on the internet, and just do a manual update. you don't need ota

    I don't think you have to be on a contract. As long as you are a t-mobille customer you should be fine.

    But if you are At&t, then you might have problems.

    I read on xda, someone figured out a way to FORCE the OTA update, I think it even works for non t-mobile customers
