    Hello!

I'm looking into getting the Droid Incredible but had a question about all Android phones with the HTC Sense UI. I know that there is a wait for these phones to upgrade when Android has a version upgrade for their OS. If I were to remove the Sense UI from the phone would it be possible to upgrade immediately when a release is available? Take, for example, the Droid Eris. Would it be possible to disable/remove the Sense UI and install Android 2.1 and not have to wait? Or is Sense embedded in the phone to where that's not possible?

    Thanks!

Updates come from your carrier, not much else you can do other than root and load a custom ROM.

No. The Sense UI is essentially just a Home alternative app. Any update you get for it will still require HTC developing their Sense UI around the newer version, regardless of whether or not you end up using it.
