upgrading to android 2.1 on the xperia x10

i am trying to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.1 i dismissed the message that come through on tool bar at the top of the screen as you needed to update via computer but when i connect it to the pc companion it says i have the the software is up to date but obviously it isnt as 2.1 is now out on the X10. please help

Try SEUS instead, and if it says you're up to date run it anyway, and report back.

If it gives the option to install software then run it as it may force the update.

Could be any number of reasons, which is why I'm suggesting running seus to see if it updates you.

Wow, seus downloaded software, installed it, and your phone rebooted in 4 mins, how lucky are you. Looks like you'll have to wait then if it reinstalled 1.6.
