The facebook app definitely has not links to it. I used the browser to get to the site and selected full site. I get all the way into upload and the upload page says uploads disabled. Anyone know why this would be?

I registered my phone number on my previous phone (same number/provider now) with facebook and have an upload email address. On my previous phone I successfully uploaded videos using this method.

So I tried it on the droid. First problem I had was with the messaging app. I can't figure out how to search my contacts from the To:. If I start typing the contacts come up but it only lists phone numbers...

I found that the Contacts has an menu option for Display Options. That's where the Only contacts with phones check box is...sigh...still doesn't show up in the messaging app. I even killed it hoping some kind of refresh was needed.

nope...no emails. Why doesn't the message app have a conacts menu option :/

So I go to contacts which now has facebook email in it. I find facebook. I hit edit. I press and hold on the email text box...copy all... then restart messaging and paste the email into the to....ugh...that was quite a bit of work..at least now I have a message thread to reuse..cause that was a PITA.

I then hit upload and select my video...all my videos of which the longest is 20 seconds (I've always been able to mms up-to-30 seconds on Verizon) error out saying they are two big. btw...my samsung flip phone with windoze 2 would go into a "formatting for messaging" sequence before sending it.

So I take a 2 second video attach it and send it off...

facebook texts back "Sorry an error occurred processing your video. Please try again in a little while.".....d'oh!!!

huge props to anyone who can come up with a way to upload video either 3G or wi-fi to facebook. I'm going to try USB mounting and upload on the computer but that defeats the whole purpose.

huger props to anyone who can figure out why the main facebook site says "Video Uploads Disabled" when I surf from my phone....the conspiracy theory person thinks collusion!

didn't say I need to view videos. I understand that we have to wait for flash 10 support. I can see them on my phone if I want.

I want to share my videos.

Sorry should have been more clear. Videos I take with my phone I can watch *on my phone*

As I mentioned we'll have to wait until flash 10 support is availble to view *other peoples* facebook videos.

I shot a video this weekend, 1min27sec, uploaded it to YouTube. It was 27MB, which I think is an insanely huge filesize for the length.

    http://www.facebook.com/video/?upload

Open this link from your computer (not sure if you can from your Droid) and click mobile video.

It will send you an emaill address to ul the video to.

You will need to pull the video off the phone and then email it to FB.

I know when I send video directly from my Droid to Youtube I have to use WiFi so perhaps it's the same with emailing to Facebook?

Will it take a 27 mb video? Not sure, give it a try and let us know. :D

I also email my pics to FB from the Droid because when I use the FB app on the Droid, they come out looking like thumbnails.

Just get you a Qik account and set it up to integrate all videos to FB and Twitter and i think Youtube all at the same time.

Search Qik in the market. Works like a charm.

The easiest way to do it is to e-mail it to facebook like Wakey says...just e-mail it to the address that facebook provides you with

Wakey... you're supposed to just go straight to the gallery, then look at the pic, then hit the "SHARE" button and there's literally a choice right there for you that says Facebook, since it's integrated to the phone.

Then it uploads it straight to facebook in full quality =)

    Ah, OK.

I viewed the pic from the camera, right after I took it. Used share/Facebook from there and it sent the small pic.

    Thanks!

If you go to gallery and long hold on the video it will pop up share and gives you options where to share, if you want facebook first go into you photo and video place app on your phone and set facebook as a share place then do as I said above and it works. I just spent 4 hours figuring it out.

What do you mean by photo and video place app? If this works you are a godsend.

I'm trying to figure that out now. If there's a place to configure share place I'm stoked. Perhaps it means I can upload to my personal Gallery.

On almost any other phone, you can EASILY record video, and upload it directly to facebook, but not this phone.

I was able to record video and email it to myself, then save the video to my computer, then upload it to Facebook, but that really defeats the WHOLE purpose of what I am trying to do.

Yea...i tried "Qik" and it's just awful. It didn't work, it needed endless configuration, and in the end it was still an extra step just to upload simple 20 second videos.

I'm sorry, but this is a lame lack of feature, and in my experience with this forum...I have literally not had a single question that i had actually answered in full.

    This forum is fairly terrible!

Sorry you feel that way. When i use qik as soon as i hit stop on my video a link pops right on my FB wall. I get what your saying about the feature not being there. Qik is the only work around that i know of. As far as answers on this fourm as far as i can tell you have only posted 2 times i would hardly call that no answers. You haven't asked anything.

Also i just tested it and it seems that if you upload your vid to You Tube you can then hit the share button and share it on FB.

    Good luck!

Download "Bloo" for Android on your phone. There is an option to upload videos to Facebook via Bloo.

And just to clarify -- there are no hidden options to choose your share settings. The native Facebook on the Android just does not let you upload videos.
