usb connection problems with MAC since update

I have not been able to sync my Eris to my iMAC since upgrading to 2.1 ( leak 3). It always worked before and it still works fine on my Windows XP desktop at work. However, when I plug in the USB cable on my MAC, it just does not act like they see each other at all. It charges fine. Even when I am running Windows on the MAC using VMWare Fusion, it still does not connect.

I have changed the "attach to PC" settings to always act as a disk drive and it it is set to ask me each time it is plugged in.

Has anyone else seen this problem and is there a solution?

I would try another cable to see if that's an issue. But no, I 've had no trouble on my Macs since upgrading (though I had an issue with one cable...)

Wow, that worked! I never thought of the cable because it works fine for my card reader and for this phone prior to the the last update (coincidence?) I had another cable in the drawer and it worked instantly.
