Not sure what's going on here, but three times now, over the past week or so, my User Dictionary has completely reset itself.

I'm fuming because of the amount of stuff I have to put back into it.

Does anyone know what's causing it? I think it could be me rebooting my phone, but I'm not 100%.

Its a bug in Android 1.6.

So unless you can get upgraded to Android 2.1 or higher you will have to either lump the problem or sell your phone and get another one.

I was told about the bug by LG UK when I rang them recently.

I am not happy easier as i do not like using tap tap texting only predictive texting.

Well, it's still in 2.1, because that's what I have.

    FURIOUS.

try remembering the apps you installed before the prob occured... Maybe an app is causing the problem... I've 2.1 & don't have that problem... (Baltic 2.1 in Australian GT540)

I did think it could be a specific app. If it's going to be any, it'll be TweetDeck. Every time I close that in the Task Manager or reboot the phone, it resets.

I don't have Tweetdeck, and I'm having the same problem...

I never once lost the user dictionary in 1.6. This is exclusively since the upgrade.

I've got the same problem in both 1.6 and 2.1. I have few apps installed so I wonder if it is a default app that starts when you restart the phone (and one which we cancel using a task killer).
