Using Epic in Europe?Support

    I travel to Europe quite a bit. Specifically Germany. Just got the epic. Usually I just have a "throwaway" phone that I use over there. Wondering if it is possible to hook my epic up to a network in Europe and use it that way.

    I'm not interested in only using VOIP when connected to Wi-fi. Any insight appreciated.

    Epic is CDMA only. To my knowledge most, if not all, of Europe is GSM bands.

    Kel,

    I don't know much about cell phones but don't they have other Galaxy phones over seas (just no the Epic). How funny would it be if you brought a different Galaxy phone across the ocean and got the 2.2 update. (I thought I read that oversea's they've already pushed 2.2 to some countries.... no sure if it's realesed on other Galaxy phones here in the US because I don't read the other forums.)

    Just thought it wou'd be funny. :)
