Call Verizon and explain your story. Tell them the person at the store dropped your phone and lied about doing so. I'm sure they will investigate the claim and do something for you.

If he really did drop it there should be video evidence u should have been able to look at - at the store/ I personally wouldn't have left that store until the situation was fixed, but that's just me.
Hope you get it fixed man. best of luck.

You'd think asking to see the video might help, but chances are you'll never get to see it because of "privacy issues" and whatnot.

One time I was at a furniture store, a decent one where they give you coffee and such when you walk in, assign you an associate, etc.. It was not a discount jobbie.

After having spent 10k in their store, yes, 10 GRAND, I walked outside and noticed someone had backed into the front fender of my car, creating a large dent.

I looked around and saw cameras everywhere. Case solved ! I exclaimed. I went back in, I was told only the manager (naturally not there) can authorize that. I was given many contact numbers, apologies, etc.

The next day I got ahold of the manager. She was the uptmost in polite, as she had read the incident report. When I asked about the video, she politely refused. Their security system was for security, not for customers use. I explained the amount of coin I dropped the day before, she was not impressed, apparently others spend considerably more.

I got my furniture (it was nice...) but never shopped there again.

Okay, I couldn't afford to shop there again.....

I guaran-damn-tee you I would have left there with a Droid or an Incredible. There's no way that cat is gonna lie and get away with it. If I had to I would call the police and file a claim for destruction of personal property. Get a complaint formally filed and I'll guarantee that video gets looked at.

This sounds like an idea situation to see the power of an attorney's stationary. It has amazing abilities to get things done. Sorry but that just pisses me off for you. You call them up and tell them for a new Incredible they will never see you again. Otherwise you have to protect your property. Nobody can do it except you.

Here's a little advice: if you're having an issue like that again, call tech support. DO NOT go into the store. If the store reps can not figure it out, they call tech support anyway and tech support ships a replacement phone.

Also, a hard reset works wonders sometimes.

+1. Never go to the store, what a waste of time. Not to mention 75% of the time you get a great CSR rep.

+1 here. A call to VZW, and their FedEx'd replacement will forever beat any store-visit (maybe a few lucky folks who get a good associate or manager in a store, but in general, just call)

The PD should be able to get it assuming you filed an accident report. It should be a hit and run and therefore a crime as well.
