Very Basic To Do app?

I use Trello for listing my tasks.

However I want something very simple that depending on the day of the week will show me the two or three things I have to do that day.

If I could programme in the tasks for the each day of the week in advanced, then when it is that day, the app just shows me those tasks.

Like:

Monday: Buy Cheese - Go to the Gym
Tuesday: Ride a Bike - Eat Cheese

So I only really see what is on for that day.

Any ideas?

If you just need to see them and not tick them off, with the calender app on your moto G you could just create a repeating event with the event title the things to do and then put the calender widget on your home screen.

I agree: for most to do lists use weekly repeating events, one for each day.

Color note is simple.

I'm a pretty big fan of Google Keep for basic notes, to-do lists, and reminders:

You can set a reminder for notes/tasks so that they appear on certain days (or at certain locations). I use it a lot for reminding me about shopping lists when I get to the store. Integrates beautifully with Google Now too

I use Google keep for dictating notes with minimum fuss (such as when I'm driving). With one button press from home screen (the mic on the Google keep widget) It captures both the transcription and (in case can't decipher the transcription) the audio. Then later when I have more time/attention (preferably on pc), I take my notes from Google Keep and file them into google tasks with appropriate category and reminder. I really like the combination.

For a brainless widget that just shows what's on Google Tasks, I use GoTasks. I write reminders on either the droid or the pc, then they nag me on the other side. There's no organization involved, just check them as complete, or do what I do -- write a new reminder in its place.
