Okay, my wife has this theory that a restaurant with no customers cant be very good. So, if we walk into a restaurant and no one is there, she won't eat there. What's the point? I seem to be one of only a handful of people on this site even remotely interested in this phone. Does everyone else know something I don't about lg or this particular phone? Seems like a HD screen, dual core 1.5
Ghz phone slated to have ICS in the near future should be garnering some attention, add in LTE and I am just baffled....

Seems like a nice phone to me. I have a vivid and SkyRocket on the way and might return one of them for this one.

Because everyone who wanted a new smartphone got the GS2 and everyone who wanted LTE got the Vivid or Skyrocket. If this phone would have come out first it would be a lot more popular.

I suspect this has a lot to do with it, but is there anything "wrong" with LG's products in general?

I have no personal experience, but the general feeling I have gotten is that all LG products suck...

I'm with you in wondering this. I've had a vivid for about 20 days now and am seriously considering replacing it with the nitro. It's tough because I really like the vivid and think it is a great phone. A 720p screen IPS lcd with it's accurate colors looks like it might be really nice.

My old Optimus was a nice little phone I never had any issues with it.

The only ding on this phone is the small amount of internal memory.

That has hindered me from looking into the notro more...why so low????

I will be curious of how the hd display looks compared to super amoled ...so far nothing else compares

Same here. Why does LG have such a bad rep with phones though?

As for the 4GB of internal space, is it really that big of a deal? There HAS to be a reason why it's only 4GB. At least they are nice enough to include a 16GB micro SD card.

I have a feeling the Nitro is going to be the only new phone we're going to see for a while...

    Edit: Anyone see this? http://mobilesyrup.com/2011/11/23/bell-lg-optimus-4g-lte-review-video/

I agree that AT&T wont have any major smartphones out for a while. BUT the main reason this phone isnt amazing is because it has only 3 hours of talk time!

Seems a tad hard to believe that the Nitro will only get 3 hours of talk time.

"Talk-time with the Galaxy Nexus's 1750mAh battery is rated at up to 8 hours and 20 mins on 3G"

    Taken from Phone Arena.

The Nitro has a 1830Mah batter if I'm correct

Edit: In the Mobile Syrup review, he says, "After coming downtown I began using the device as I would any other: downloading apps, surfing the web, streaming music and playing half an hour of games. Doing so took the battery from 70% to around 10% in less than two hours"

    Something has to be wrong....

Right, I just hope its a software issue, but if not that will be a major letdown

REVIEW: LG Optimus LTE | Sync? Blog

"I could get through an entire 16 hour day full of email, Twitter, browsing, and phone calls and get home to a battery still above 15%. One strange caveat that I noticed was that the Optimus LTE was very slow to charge through a standard 500mA computer USB port (I can typically charge my Sony Ericsson off my laptop). Plugging it into a regular wall charger (700mA or higher) or a “super”-charge USB port (up to 1,000mA and found on many new desktops) had it fully charged in under 4 hours."

Looks like a pretty solid phone :)

I may grab this phone just to check it out, I can always do the 15 days return if I don't like it and just grab the Skyrocket or something.

I'm thinking about trying it out as well, but the only phone I really want is the Galaxy Note.

Also, I saw another video that stated that the LG Nitro has 7 hours of talk time, I'll try and find it.

I've made my decision, i have been impressed enough by LG with this phone. I'm going to give them a chance and get this phone.

This phone is definitely a step up from what i usually expect from LG.

Having spent hours and hours on XDA the one thing that I think hurries people away from anything LG is the support and updates. These guys have Dells support staff and Samsungs update release schedule. look at the updates for ANY LG phone...they release it and they are done with it, it is a shame because there devices are nice...also though they are only using hardware that is comparable to other phones and not really trying to get out anything that is bleeding edge or push out something superior. Granted this is not important to the average user, but if you are into getting the most powerful handsets out there it really takes them out of the game.

I figure the 30 days I have to return it will give me enough time to decide if it's a keeper or not, if it isn't.

    Skyrocket all the way.

Yep, pick it up play with it and if you don't like then send it back. No harm.
My wife wants the SkyRocket in white, but I think this phone is a better investment.
