Very new to android, market?

    Hello, I just got an unlocked HTC Hero, and I am extremely new to the Android OS, I didn't really want anymore than i got, but, Android Market isn't on my phone =[ and i really, really want it, lol, i guess it's the asian model? and didn't come with the market on it, and i know i need to root it? and install new firmware or ROM? i looked around here for a while but kind of got confused on the exact process i need to do to do this.. could someone please help me find the process? or just tell me? any help is greatly, greatly appreciated. :eek:

    You don't need to root the phone in order to install official ROMs from HTC. The Market application should come preinstalled on them, and shortcut to it should also be on one of the default homescreens (first to the right, I believe).
