Video chat on Droid X.

    I gave my Gf my older Droid X when I got my Galaxy S3. Wanted to try to video chat with her using the Talk app but it does not show up with the video icon when I added her to my friends list. I am thinking that it may be because the Droid X doesn't have a front camera. Could this be the issue? I can text back and forth through that app.

    I thought at a minimum I could chat with her using the Droid X main camera.

    That's it exactly. I've heard Qik can work on the DX but, since the camera's only on the back, she'd have to turn it over every time she wanted to see the screen.

    I saw a start up company that had a prototype product that was basically a clip on periscope. Channel your inner MacGuyver and try making one yourself.

    Tango works well on the DX but ud have to download it to ur phone also. vainworks.com makes a nice unit that turns back cameras into front cameras with the use of mirrors.
