    Hi,

I've used Handbrake to copy a DVD movie to my computer, which I've then put onto my phone. I've done it in a resolution the Nexus One can handle (it's a DVD so the resolution is lower than the Nexus One's screen). It's encoded using H.264 (x264) the only other choice is MPEG-4 (FFmpeg), and I assumed it's meant to be H.264. When I start playing the movie in the Gallery app or in Astro, the movie starts with sound, but no image appears. The audio works seemingly for the whole of the video, but no image.

Any ideas what's going wrong here?

    Thanks

Apparently your video codec settings are wonky. I always find it easier to just use the iPhone/iPod Touch preset and then change the resolution.

Thanks, I'll try and go through all the settings and see what the differences are. From first inspection it seems to be one or two small settings.

    Thanks again :)

I think I also had this problem at first and that's why I just went with mpeg4 :)
