I believe i will be getting the 2.2 update within the next week or so.
Im guessing when the update comes through i have too maintain a wifi connection for it too update correct?
Also will i keep everything i currently have??
For instance will i keep or lose all of my apps? Contacts?
    etc etc
And will i have too set up my homescreens via launcher pro all over again??

I have seen alot of people saying that you can back EVERYTHING up on your phone via the sd card? or maybe they said via your home desktop but i have NO idea how to do this
    Thanks
    Chris

    thanks alot.
Basically i have alot of work portfolios and also all of my social stuff on my phone and im starting to panic that i am going to lose it all.
Maybe this would be better placed in the HTC desire forum as then someone may be able too run me through exactly as they had to do for another network.
So if a mod would please move this that would be much appreciated

When i updated, pretty sure i lost my stuff. easy enough to back up anything you have SD card wise, documents and the like, just connect to a PC, although i didnt back up my apps and had to find them all in the market again and download them all.

You can update without doing it through a WiFi connection. Wouldnt advise it personally though as im pretty sure its quity a chosty file size.

There had been a proposed release date of August for Virgin Mobile, but as that hasnt happened yet, dont think ther is another definitive date set.
