Android newbie but i just found out that if you hold down the search button it automatically brings up voice search. I use that feature all the time now. This phone just keeps getting better. Just thought i'd share for those android illiterate like me, wish i knew sooner.

Yep, use it to search the web, bring up websites, find contacts, call contacts (say, "call ..."), bring up map locations (say, "find ..."), get navigation directions (say, "navigate to ..."), it is a great feature.

Glad you like your phone! Who wouldn't? ;)

Unfortunately I seem to be able to get the "navigate to" and "find" command to work, but have yet to get it to dial a contact.

    Any advice?

Quick question, will I have to uninstall Handcent as my only way of getting voice search to work? Because when I hold down the search button now all I get is a message saying "You haven't enabled the quick compose, please enable it from handcent settings."

Is there a command I can use to play my music saved on my SD card?

Make sure you say the whole name as it appears in your contact list. Also, if there is more than one number stored for the contact you also need to say the method, ie. "Call John Smith mobile".

Hope you get it to work.
