Voice speaks 5 digit number and says I have a message but I cannot find it.Support

    My phone keeps speaking first a 5 character number then that I a message. I look every where especially my text message box where I would expect it but I find nothing. Where else do I find it?

    I was having issues with verbal notifications of EVERYTHING even when phone was on silent. Specifically, "message from 9016" (9016 being Boost Mobile)

    I fortunately found the answer to turning off driving mode to stop the verbal notifications, but am still curious about the 9016 notifications, they were never there when I checked.

    Any ideas?:D

    The way visual voicemail gets its notification of a new voice message is by a sms text from the carrier. They use the short code 9016. The Visual voicemail app intercepts that sms so it doesn't show up in your messaging app.
