Help voice to txt problem need help

recently I reset my Nexus one and re-installed the HTC keyboard for better touch input when using txt messaging, now every time I touch the microphone key i keep getting and error, "there was a problem with the network connection" .
so I press the key the mic window pops up then says speak now then within a second I get the error message, anyone know what might be the issue ? I have both got this with WiFi and 3G and good signal.

What version of the sense keyboard are you using? I'm using version 7 and it gives me an error message when I try to use the microphone (wasn't able to dl the newest version). I usually just change the input to the stock keyboard when I want to use the microphone.
