Help Volume stops working ????

My volume just stops working for notifications and ringtones.After I take the batery out it starts to work again but then stops ???????I miss calls this way and dont know when im getting texted The phone also freezes alot and is slow whats the deal is there a fixxxx????? my phone came with the updated software 2.1. Helppppppppppppp.

Sounds like something is corrupted in your firmware... I'd try reflashing stock if that's what you're using or reflashing whatever rom you choose. Sometimes starting fresh sorts out all kinds of problems...
