    Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has successfully executed VPN over the verizon network with the Motorola Droid. Having some issues with PPTP. It will say "connected" however internet does not work. Seems not to acquire the new gateway. Also, when viewing the logs my VPN server does not acknowledge the request. Also have tried unencrypted/encrypted and a completely different server.

    Thanks in advanced,

    Shane

A buddy at work has connected via VPN and then used VNC to hook up to his desktop...also using PPTP, so it does work.

Search this forum...there is a sizable VPN thread where people have had success.

thanks for the link. I have actually read all through that one. I cannot find anyone that has actually connected via PPTP. I can not use PPTP over pdanet either.

PPTP works fine for me, make sure your router is forwarding the ports to the correct machine, and make sure your machine isn't firewalling the connection

Is pptp to get in, then use Estrongs file explorer to access files, or Remote RDP demo to control my pc..

    Good luck !!

Hey aaron, glad to here it works well for you. Only way I could get it to work is l2tp. PPTP is a bust for me right now.

 That's what I said - a buddy at work was successful. :)
