Help Wallpaper help

Im using launcher pro. I only have one dock. When I set a wallpaper to my home screen it always stretchs it out past the screen. Even if I use a wallpaper with the correct screen resolution(800 x 480), it still never displays correct on the screen. It seems to always "zoom in"...Any idea? thanx in advance!

No, that won't fix it. It's an Android thing apparently. I have so many good wallpapers but can't use them because of the same problem.

Just a thought because i did this as well when you select the picture from the gallery are you dragging a side of the orange box all the way out or do you just center it?

Shouldn't matter. EVERY other phone on the market let's you use your WHOLE wallpaper on the main screen and/or menu screens - even the iPhone.

Why would someone want to crop off part of a wallpaper?? This is my BIGGEST gripe with Android so far.

I thought the OP was having a different issue where by default it will present the selection box smaller than the picture. Sorry my mistake I think I understand what your talking about now.

i know what you mean i bought a samsung epic and i have good wallpapers to put and its wont let me use the whole screen for the picture it always crops it its the DUMBEST thing i have ever seen .....i called samsung and i talk to tech support and he was suprised that it happened to his phone too i still havnt fixed it

you dont use the 800X480 resolution, someone posted the correct resolution on here before but i dont remember the correct size, you may can search and find it

Well one way to do it is to take your 480x800 image and expand the horizontal canvas/dimensions to 960x800, leaving your image in the middle. The default wallpaper size for this phone is 960x800 and is meant be a scrolling wallpaper, as all other Android phones (in various resolutions).
