One of my friends has been having a problem with getting wallpaper changes to 'stick' since she updated to Froyo at the weekend. The problem is that she can change the wallpaper on her phone but if her phone has been completely powered off, when she turns it back on the wallpaper goes back to the default - it doesn't happen though if she turns the screen back on from standby.

She has tried removing the battery and saving the setup as a new scene but that doesn't help and it also isn't a problem if she just changes to a different stock wallpaper, it's only when she changes to a wallpaper she has downloaded.

I'm out of ideas to suggest to her and wondered if anybody here has any ideas.

if she is now using android 2.2 and if they are live wallpapers, and she has moved them to the sdcard then she will need to move them back to phone memory, along with any apps that use widgets.

the phone looks for the widgets and wallpaper before it has finished mounting the sdcard.

That's a good point, I hadn't thought of that. Thanks!
