Watching movies on SG S2

Hello,

I own a Samsung galaxy SII which i got 2 months back. I love watching movies on my Phone and i use the Aiseesoft video convertor for the conversion. when i convert the movies to andriod mp4, the size increses. A 300 mb .mkv file becomes a 900 mb file. A 800 mb .avi file becomes 1.2gb file. i want to know is there a way to reduce the size without harming the quality.

you should just be able to change extension from mkv to mp4, same size and then don't have to wait on conversion.

Why not just use your original video file? I use MX Player, it'll play mkv, avi, mpg, in fact just about anything you throw at it.

Thanks a lot. i would like to know if there is a way to compress the size of the file in case of Blu-ray movies. As the original size of Blu-ray is quite large is it possible to reduce the size while maintaining the same quality.
