Yeah, I know this is kind of trivial, but IMO 90% of the niceties we enjoy with smart phones are trivial fluff.
Prior to the ruination of my phone (KitKat) the weather icon in the Circles widget would update when I awoke the phone (press the power button). Now it only updates if I actually click into the weather app. (And even then, current weather sometimes does not update.)(And separately, I also notice that I have to tap twice on the weather icon to get into the weather app.)
Has anyone observed and solved this?
I'm guessing this has something to do with "Background Data Restriction".
I've tried removing that restriction but it always comes back on after I re-charge the phone.
Suggestions?
My phone got along just fine without "Background Data Restrictions before KitKat..."
The people at Google in charge of KitKat deserve to lose their jobs.
