Weird sound problem?

Yesterday I got my new htc resound, and was wondering if this happened to any of your phones. So up until a little while ago my phone was working fine. I downloaded the volume control app and it worked fine but then my sound from my speaker just stopped working. I tried adjusting all the volume controls but it didn't work. So I uninstalled the app, still didn't work, and my headphones worked fine when plugged in. So after being frustrated I just tapped my speaker, and then it worked. So I was wondering if this is a problem with my phone or just a one time occurrence. Has this happened to any of you on your phones?
