Android Piracy Heat Map | AndroidGuys)
So, uh... we WANT to steal apps?
yeah well they cant expect me to pay $5 for a game or app when i can just go get it for free
Yeah they can for 2 reasons:
1. It is stealing if you are using pirated apps, although in todays age most people don't look at it that way
2. If developers don't make money we won't be getting some of the great apps that everyone complains the iPhone has that Android doesn't
The problem with this is that in the long run, we will be the one who will have not quality apps, as people who are the ones responsible for the apps don't really get paid, so why do they even bother? If you like an app please show your appreciation of the time they spent developing the app by paying for what they charge. Remember that the developers are the back bone of the OS whether it becomes a success or not.
Exactly, that is why if there is a free and paid version of an app if I like the free version I usually buy the paid version if if I don't care about the extra features.
I don't pay for apps. I just get the free or lite versions if it's a simple app or pirate the rest.
Just thought I'd share the chart.
hahaha, the us is 69%.
Immaturity aside, I can see how this hurts developers. I think that this might call for DRM on Android phones.
