Wg1000 MTK6573 tv Ananda - recovery file

Hi to all,

My experience in modding has to do with gaming consoles and know very little about android rooting. My wife has a wg1000 MTK6573 2.3.4 dual sim 3g tv android made by Ananda in china. The phone actually performs very well, with great reception and functionality. However I started playing around with sp flash tool and erased the recovery boot-loader without a backup of the file. The phone still is fine just recovery is buggered up. I really need some kind of recovery mode so I can safely restore in the future. What are my options in this situation? I see recovery files everywhere but don't know what I should try first, with an unknown device?

Ok, I may just buy another wg1000 one for some relatives and try backing up the recovery file and reflash. Can SP Flash tool backup read the recovery sector?

I received my G11 pro which had pre-installed CWM-based recovery and dumped the recovery image. I reflashed my wifes wg1000 and now have a working CWM.
I found that the wg1000 had same base specs as the G11 pro incrediable S Clone and next I will try the custom rom by Bruno. I think the CWM will work across similar specs to wg1000 and G11 pro.

Hey, would you be able to post the link to that CWM-based v5.0.2.7 for 2.6.35.7 kernel again? I think MEGAUPLOAD is long dead now. Thanks in advance.

I am getting EBOOT Error: 16008 about the partition size when I tried to do the custom recovery.img using the SP Flash Tool. Hopefully your version will work. Thanks.
