There are some great phones out right now. But its all the same companies. You either get Moto, HTC, or Samsung for the most part. I would like to see more companies get into the game.

Who I wish would make an Android Phone:
    1. Creative: I love their mp3 players. They have great sound quality, good user interface, and overall good quality. They even have an android phone, but its developers only.
2: HP: I like their products, but I know this won't happen.
3: Plam: Great keyboards, but again, never going to happen.

Yes Sony and LG both make them, but nothing really competitive. I would LOVE a decent Sony phone. I love Sony products. If they made one that had ps3/PSP integration. Maybe even brand it as a psphone

HTC is the only viable Android phone maker in my mind. Quality above Moto and Samsung in all areas and a great user interface.

Motorola's seems to have many issues and frustrations for average users, Samsung's feel cheaply made and they should stick to TV's and Blu Ray players.

LG WAS a great phone manufacture, but they've fallen off since the major smartphone movement.

Sony...well they do what they do well and that's the Playstation.

HP really does not make that great of a product. They have eye appeal and make their products sound good through a good marketing campaign but their products don't live up to the hype.

Sorry if I'm being negative Nancy here, but HTC is really leading the Android phone manufacturing in my mind and they do a great job of it! (No I don't work for them)

That is exactly the problem. I want to see more excellent android phones. Though I have to disagree about moto

i wish Nokia would make one, in a way. i haven't liked any of their phones in years, but back in the day i thought they were great (never had a nokia smart phone though). i also think that in general they're a cool company.

I have heard Nokia makes great smart phones, they are the most popular in many areas. But I don't want Symbian, so an Android one would be great.

I wish there was a Sony phone and not SonyEricsson...seems like that company is more ericsson than Sony. Sony should make the PSP phone (or a PSP 'touch' with physical game controls) and bring their game connections to android. That would be the way to compete with nintendo's 3ds, which is amazing but doesn't have apps.

I'm not interested in HTC. At all. They can keep their collection of old snapdragons and 65,000 color displays. Motorola and Samsung seem to be the only ones interested in a powerful Android smartphone that can truly challenge the iPhone.

I don't know if you were kidding or not, but I'd actually be in favor of Apple designing Android hardware. Their OS isn't exactly perfect, and the antenna issue was lame, but lets face it: the iPhone 4 is a nice looking phone.

Nintendo would be an interesting choice, even though they've never produced a cell phone. Although if they ever did enter the mobile market, they'd probably use their own OS.

Google. Get away from HTC and produce their own phones. They have the resources. Make it a big launch like the iPhone. Brand it, brand it, brand it.

I agree, apple has purdy phones with decent hardware. Android on one would be a pretty decent phone IMO. Nintendo could be really good or really bad, but interesting for sure. I do not think google should build a hand set. I feel that would get us 1 step closer to apple land.

we're going to see all these japanese companies like Sharp and Fujitsu use android. Their phones will have all kinds of goodies that will only work in Japan. Maybe we'll see the hello kitty android phone with perfume dispensers.

I was being partially serious, and partially joking. It would be interesting, but it'd never happen, that just isn't how apple works. Anyways the nintendo idea would be interesting, but i haven't been impressed with nintendo's design of their handhelds, or them trying to "innovate" while saying HD and power aren't as important. You'd probably end up with some weird way of controlling the phone, that is also underpowered, and lacks a high res screen. Sad to say that to be honest, as I've grown up on nintendo game consoles.

I'd like to see intel or amd launch an android phone to be honest, or even nvidia. =]

Yeah, Ninty's gotta start playing the game smart first, then start innovating. Imagine spelling out the numbers by waving the phone to make a call :D

It would be pretty nice to see something from Intel. Adding to the list, it'd be cool to see something from TI too.

Eh, the wii is bad enough, I couldn't IMAGINE how they would screw up a phone with "innovation"...! I just hope that nintendo goes back to a normal control scheme so that we don't have all these gimmicky games. I have a wii and 60 games, and I play it less than I play games on my phone...and I don't game much on my phone...

How about adobe making a phone, one that is very centered on multimedia!?! That would also stick it to apple even more after the whole flash thing.

the wii is only good for sports resort and even that game is cheesy. Kinect on xbox is much more amazing. You can kick and jump without having to hold anything. And REAL graphics, thank you very much.
But Nintendo strikes back with the 3ds. Don't need glasses and it even has a 3d camera. I would like that tech on an android.

I saw a demo'd version at e3 and I wasn't impressed. All I see it being is a strain on your eyes, and a drain on your battery. But who knows, we'll have to see how the 3ds does on a real game instead of just a test image.

Still cheesy. I don't want to flail my arms in an attempt to punch, or try lifting up my legs to kick. When I play video games I want a controller in my hand and I can veg out and let my thumbs to the work.

I want a kickboxing game where I can actually fight, not pretend I can fight because I mastered some button combos. No worry about injuries and I would have a skilled opponent at any time.

Nintendo did something clever. They knew sony and microsoft would look at the wii's success and make their own motion controls and make them much better. So nintendo, a much smaller company, decided they'd go in a completely different area, the mobile 3D console. They succeed when they come up with new ways of doing things and not by incrementally perfecting the last version's ways.

I don't care if a billion devices are sold in a day, but if it's just a gimmicky device it's still crap in my book. The wii completely sucks for anything serious gamers would play, another beyond simple mini games. But the problem there is we have simple mini games selling for $50, people complained about sony's and microsoft's game prices, but i'd rather pay more to get more than pay close to the same and get a mini game.

Regardless we're getting off topic, it would still be interesting to see if nintendo came out with a phone, even if it wasn't android. That would be something of a sight.

Actually I'd rather have them do a PMP or tablet than a phone. A phone means you have to worry about antenna and signal quality (cough Apple cough) and making sure you have it for a real carrier. Any kid can get an android based pmp/mobile console and not have to deal with an unlimited data plan.
