The list of applications in the Settings -> Manage applications screen includes 'File Browser' (HTC Corporation). What is this? Is there a file manager lurking inside the computer?

Looking again at the Manage Applications list (much longer than the All Programs list) I see that there is also HTML Viewer. I wonder whether these are operating system modules (part programs) that are used by full-blown apps. Perhaps, for example, File Browser is used by programs like PDF Viewer ti display the library of available docs, somewhat like the File Open dialog in Windows?

I have File Browser as one of my apps, can't entirely remember how I did it. It may have been that I downloaded one from the market with the same name but I also have Astro as well - I think I may have been trying to find a browser & downloaded both
