Just wondering if anyone knows what the screen is made out of?

If it is glass, why would you need a screen protector?

I hope it is glass because the pre's plastic screen was all too easy to scratch up, and the shield on it made it too restrictive to the touch.

Its glass and I've never felt the need for a screen protector. I also hated the screen on the pre among other things.

This may be a stupid question, but it's an LCD screen, right? Everything I've seen that lists the specs only says 4.3 inch capacitive touchscreen without saying what kind of display technology it actually is.

Glass, and It has an amazing amount of glare in the sun. I had an anti glare screen protector and that worked fine for my HD2

Nope, my HD2 came with nothing! I believe the American Tmobile version came with a skin, but that's it as far a accesories I think.

    What he said. :)

I think the best way to cut out glare is with a satin or anti-glare screen protector.

LED would be how it is backlit, not the screen itself which is an LCD.

The problem with anti-glare IMO is that it has a pebbly finish.
A rough surface that can be annoying a little to flick things around on.
They also have a little prismatic effect.

I actually like the textured finish. I have one on my iPod Touch and it makes it easier to move my finger across the screen. I don't like the reduced clarity however.

I'm glad it's LCD. I can barely see my Incredible's screen outside.

yup, that's correct. saw a similar article a while back. they both have a better, and more accurate, touchscreen versus the Nexus One. i was very happy when i found that out.

also, they both have an upgraded 1Ghz processor than the Nexus One
