What IS this thing?

    A friend of mine got me this for my birthday (since he knows I love android). It came preinstalled with 1.6. After the first bootup/shutdown, it is now caught in a boot-loop, and I don't know what to do about it, nor do I even know what hardware it is so I can do a search!

    If you could point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. In a perfect world I'd be able to get 2.2 running on it. :\

    That looks like the old tablet we sold. (Still have a couple of customers buying them) It is a generic eken m001. If it is running Android 1.6 it might have a lot of problems with the marketplace. I hated it. I would download an app or two then it would just stop and I would have to reset all kinds of things to get it to work again.

    It was my first intro to Android.
