How do you have more internal storage than SD card storage?

There's only 1GB of internal storage on the EVO and majority of that is taken up by pre-installed apps and Sprint stuff. From there, I think there was only something like 300+mb of space to save data.

Do you have a different phone than the EVO?

I have a different phone (Droid Incredible). Has 8GB internal storage. Regardless.....does anyone have answer for me?

Oh, okay. That makes sense now...hahaha.

Maybe try creating a "music" folder on your internal storage and transferring the files in there, rather than having them in the default folder.

doubletwist with it's new update is the best music player! If you use itunes as your main music player than this is a must have since it now syncs quicker and more accurately from itunes.

I use the HTC or Android stock app. If I'm streaming music then Cherry Rplayer works great.

So i use Music Mod which i like alot, but it picks up every audio file on my sd card. Wish i could set it to only use my Music folder.

Which version are you using? Does the stock app do this?

I'm not having this problem with the latest version of Music Mod. I'm on v1.8.

I am using 1.8 version as well, and yes the stock version does it too. I have a folder that has my books in it that are in .mp3 format. I don't see a setting in either app to choose just a Music folder.

StudioKUMA .nomedia Manager - Android app on AppBrain

This app does exactly what I would be telling you to do manually...easier this way. It use the ".nomedia" trick. It places this kinda dummy file in whatever folder you want media players not to see....

Astro and ES File Explorer would not let me create a folder on internal storage. I guess I need root to do that. BUT.....I could create folders when I plugged phone into my computer and did it from my computer.

Creating a "music" folder on internal storage did NOT work. Thanks for suggestion though.

Music Mod really needs a Custom folder select feature.....wow. Everyone please email/contact the developer and beg. I already did

Well i don't know what happened but now my audio books don't show in the songs title area. This is good, just what i wanted. Now what would make this a GREAT app, is when the phone goes to sleep and you awake it you have the player menu there to fast foward, pause, rewind, ect. like the stock player. Instead you have to swipe to unlock first, then if you have the home screen you have to again swipe down choose the music app then do whatever you want.

I think the stock player is the only one that can get its hooks into the lock screen. For any other player widget, you'll need something like Widget Locker to control it from the lock screen (I really should get a piece of this guy's profit!).

i've got mspot, got all my playlists and stuff synced from itunes and the quality is fine for me. I dont use it much and haven't tried using another player. I use it so little, pretty much only when my ipod battery is dead.

Well shut my mouth! I wonder why other players don't do this if it's possible?? Seems like a no-brainer.

Stock. It works alright if you pair it with a file manager (AndroZip, Astro, and the like). I'd like for HTC to extend the file/folder management to the Music Player widget in future updates, because file management is inadequate on the stock music player.

Until I see a 5-star music player in the Market, I will continue to use the stock player...
  20. "3" or Cubed does this as well.

    jrstinkfish Well-Known Member

Does it have to be the app that's currently in the active on the screen, or can you navigate to another app and still have the player appear on the lock screen?
  22. With "3", it does not have to be active on the screen. The only draw back is sometimes it loads the normal lock screen, then flashes over to the "3" lockscreen. Try it out, it is a neat player.

Most of them have their own "lock screens" which are pretty ugly Sense player is the only one integrated into the Sense lock screen. bTunes has a "lock screen" player as well.

Music by mspot is my favorite. It has a good bit of features and the UI is way better than most of the ones in this thread. If you are looking for more obscure features then stick with something else, but if you want a solid music player that looks really nice then try it. It's free I think.
