What to do before selling old phone?

I just got the fancy S3 and have sold my old Dinc. Is there anything special I need to do with my old phone before sending it out?

It's rooted and running Cyanogen. I plan on wiping the cache and doing a factory reset while leaving it rooted and with Cyanogen. But is that enough? Is there anything else that I might be missing? Will he have any problems activating it and getting it up and running for himself?

I've never sold a phone before, so I'm not sure what the best procedure is. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Put it back on the stock Rom to ensure they will not have trouble activating it.

A lot of phones have issues running aosp

Uh, oh. I've promised it with root. So I can't send it out rooted?

Just clear the personal stuff w/ a factory reset, or manually if you want. If you can, provide instructions on how to install the default ROM & how to root. Make sure you put a disclaimer though.

You can still put a stock rooted Rom on there to maintain root.

Wipe data/factory reset will do enough I guess.
That's what I usually do, leaving it with root it's okay.

So if I leave it like it is, but wiped clean so that he gets the initial setup screen, he should have no problems activating it with his carrier? The ESN should no longer be connected to my verizion account, right? It's not going to try and activate on my account, is it?
