Every phone I have used since getting an N1 has been a disappointment.
The Desire is slow and I don't like Sense. The iPhone4 has a pretty screen, but feels like junior lego compared to the N1's meccano.
The various other upcoming Android phones seem to be either on a par with the N1 (Droid 2 etc) or the various HTCs with Sense, which I detest.

So what's going to happen? Google aren't going to give us a new Nexus and there is nothing out there now, or seemingly in the future, to replace it.

    I has a sad :(

The Motorola X-Caliber Giginator, rumored to have a quad core processor with a dual core GPU, 3Gb of memory, 4 quadrillion dpi screen (still not visible in direct sunlight), clearpad 2000 digitizer, and running the latest verison of android: rice crispy treat. It will have a 400 mah battery to save space, once turned on you will have approximately 2 minutes and 17 seconds to use it before the battery goes dead, but with quad cores that's all the time you will need. And yes the music player will still suck. Or so I heard.

Cheers, mate... I knew I wouldn't have to worry :D

I'm sure you're right, to an extent, at least. As to when, and from whom... well that's what has me a little apprehensive.

But for real, I am waiting for a Terga 2 phone with some new screen technology before buying a new phone. I still haven't seen a big enough leap in technology to switch phones.

You do what most people here that bought the N1 and have moved on. You sell it on ebay to subsidize your new phone ;) Just did a quick check and for a used and in good condition Nexus one is running on average between $300-$400.

Why would I wanna do that? Then I'll be as unhappy as gerryk. :D

lol, apparently other phones can't compare.

I love my Nexus. I seriously don't plan on "upgrading" unless something drastic happens. (I don't need dual core, a FFC, a better rear camera just yet.)

I think that'll be stopped pretty soon, once T-Mo's tethering service charge gets rolling.

    Ugh :(

Don't understand how they are going to know I'm tethering (something to do with HTTP requests) but I do know it is going to SUCK! :(

On the bright side tho it might dissuade the idiots who are used to tethering 100 gbs a month which will speed up my connection ;)

None I would say. At the moment.
I reckon anything that eventually replace Nexus One will no longer be called a mobile phone.;)

something will probably come out in 2011 that will be worthy of upgrading to. imo, there is nothing out now that is all that much better than the n1.

ah, i'd wait for the rumored octa-core processor with the binford 8000 GPU.
