I'm going to give mine to my Mom. She's never had a touch screen phone and I'd like her to give it a try. She likes her clam phone.

That said, she has wireless at her house so I think the Incredible will be a very convenient way for her to take and upload photos to Facebook from a chair in the living room instead of her downloading her camera to her desktop.

I tried the Groove IP with Google Voice and the sound quality was just awful. I wish I could get that dialed in (so to speak) so that my Mom could use the Incredible as a phone while at home on wifi.

Lots. Mine will remain with me as a deactivated backup phone in case something happens to my everyday phone. It will also serve as a media device for videos and listening to music when I walk\hike, work around the house, hit the driving range, take a road trip (can plug it into my car stereo), etc. I will use it as my GPS device for yardages during a round of golf. I will also use it as a development phone for testing different MIUI themes I create before I place them on my everyday phone. I'm sure I'll come up with some other things as well.

I guess you could say that while I might not use my Dinc as my 'phone' anymore, it will probably get more use than my actual phone will.

It currently resides in my corner kitchen cabinet. I couldn't part with it so it sleeps there in case I ever need a backup phone to my gnexus. Every once in awhile I get her out and reminisce about the good old days. You know, like a few months ago. :D

Kidding somewhat aside, I did love the Incredible.

I have one laying around too. In pretty good shape. Thinking of selling it or messing around with ROOT and ROMS. How much do you think I could get for a "gently" used DINC?

I was just checking into this yesterday for kicks. Seems to me the going rate is around $80 to $130 depending on condition and if it comes with any accessories.

My DROID Incredible is in a small padded envelope with a few extra batteries. Every now and then I like to break it out, update the apps I still have on it and marvel at how small the screen and phone is in comparison to the Galaxy Nexus. I'm still very fond of it, particularly the optical joystick I used so much to move the cursor in text.

No plans on selling it. It's a backup device for now.

Mine is now an mp3 player connected to the home stereo.

My home phone now. Google Voice w/ GrooveIP (as opposed to the OP my call quality isn't that bad!) along with my alarm clock, pandora and netflix on the bed stand. Love IT! Miss it!
  9. I'm still using mine as my primary/only phone. I haven't found a worthy upgrade yet. I actually just replaced its cracked screen instead of upgrading phones so I can keep it alive until I find an upgrade I like.

When I do upgrade, I'll keep the dinc to use with a foscam as a video baby monitor.

Mine till am able to get it on MetroPCS i use it as my Roku RC and home mobile using Google voice/google callback, pandora and netflix (yo gabba gabba for my kid lol). i think that, the good thing about good smart mobile is that once you not using it with ur carrier, it can be use for a lot other things @ home since it have the wifi option.

I need to replace the screen on my (wicked crack) but aside from that, the thing still works like a dream. I'll probably buy a larger SD card, as I'm still using the stock 2 gig, and use it as an all purpose mobile media player. Also thought about giving it to a buddy of mine who does custom OS work and letting him fiddle with it for a while as well. Definitely gonna keep it though. Love this little phone!

I just dug mine out of a box (after a move). It's getting set up to be my tv/dvr/htpc remote, mp3 player, and GPS device on bike/kayak trips.

Having a GNex as my daily driver, the Inc feels crazy small!

Mine is still my daily driver. Yeah, it's getting a bit dated, but I really don't want a larger screen, and therefore a bigger phone. Just recently rooted it and that gave it a whole new life. Noticeably faster now.

I retired my Dinc and it enjoyed a year off in a place of respect above my desk. I had cleaned it well and removed the battery. Placed it into a ziplock and back into it's original box. The idea was to have a very solid backup device just in case something happened to it's replacement.

My youngest daughter is on a family plan with her sister which lacks a few months of expiring. Her phone broke and had no desire to buy outright or to renew her contract with a subsidized phone upgrade. You must understand it was hard for me to take my Dinc from it's well earned place of honor... but it was the thing to do. She is in love with the Dinc. Best phone she has ever owned was her exclamation after a few days of use.

It was and is an amazing phone. Leading edge.. No. Well built and extremely dependable.. Yes. I'm glad that she is enjoying the Dinc and it has a chance to be admired and loved once again.

I replaced my Incredible with a Rezound when 4G became available. My Incredible is my stand-by phone and has found a new job as full-time Dashboard Camera. Using the free DailyRoads Voyager app, its 8 megapixel camera makes the videos from my vehicle sharp and clear. And of course if I should lose/break my Rezound, I've got a great stand-in until I can buy another 4G phone!

You can use it as a media player as well. never hurt having a couple thousand songs in the library to get you through the morning commute ;)

I'm planning on resetting mine, flashing either a fresh version of Cyanogenmod or Sense, and re-boxing it. I'll hang onto it in case the kids need a backup phone for something, or if I come up with some clever use for it.... I couldn't possibly part with it - it's served me so very well for 3+ years.

The HTC One is coming to Verizon, and I'm planning on getting that.

For now, my Incredible is my daily driver. Currently, I'm running a copy of CM7 on it. I plan on upgrading to either a RAZR M or better though... i love Android 4.x too much and I want full functionality on my phone!

Still using mine.. it's rooted and running CM7.2 and it still does everything I want a smartphone to do, so I can't bring myself to get a new one. I love it!

I have been letting my kids use my old Incredible to play games on in the car or in restaurants, but yesterday I reactivated it on my wife's line. She had been using an LG Vortex, and that thing was hands down the worst phone I've ever had the pleasure of using. Constantly low on space to the point where she'd never get her emails or text messages. I didn't want to spend the time rooting it to fix the partition size, so I just swapped. I used her upgrade to get my RAZR Maxx, so she's stuck on contract until March at which time we're going to drop Verizon and switch to Straight Talk (which means new phones all around probably). At that point all three of our current phones will be relegated to "kid duty."
