When People Say The Have The "OG" ------, What Does That Mean?...General

    ....I've noticed that people refer to their phones using "OG" before the phone type.
    I have no idea what this means.
    Can someone please tell me?

    That first Motorola Droid that launched on Verizon a little over two years ago.

    The timing was pretty good for a lot of is for this to be the replacement.

    Original Gangster. It's something people use to make their older phone seem cool or venerable.

    I never thought of the G as Gangsta. I thought Generation. It's like saying First Generation. The iPods used the "generations" to differentiate, and I thought it started there.

    "D1" is also common shorthand for the first Droid.
