when will unread posts counter be fixed

It seems to be weeks or months now that every time I visit the forums I see there are 2 or 8 unread posts. Since I only visit about once or twice a week and there used to be 40-100 new posts a day I know the counter if not working.

Is someone trying to fix this and when can we expect it to work again?

Are you using the Tapatalk app when visiting the forums?

No I am not using Tapatalk.
I usually visit Android forum on my desktop PC. I haven't been here for a few days and today the counter shows "5 unread".
That number would be a lot higher if someone would fix the counter.

Counter seems to be working fine for me.... so it doesn't seem to be 'broken' at least not for everyone

(unless I'm signed into tapatalk at the same time..... even if i don't browse using tapatalk, the number's right down, i think its to do with the way tapatalk polls the site)
