My Curve died today. I have been wanting a Hero but have put it off. I live in Atlanta. Now I have no choice. A few weeks ago I saw some great deals. Now I am not seeing anything for upgrade less than $150. Does anyone know of any great deals? Thanks in advance.

contact Mbell75 on here, he seems to be willing to get rid of his Hero :p

On a serious note, no real idea...if you're just looking for the phone, have you tried ebay? Otherwise I thought best buy was doing them for like 70 bucks or something like that...maybe it ended, I dunno

Thanks for the suggestion. BB is now $150 for upgrade, $100 for new contract. It seems like EVERYBODY is $150 now!

Have you checked with The Shack (Radio Shack). We got ours there a few months ago, they seemed to have the lowest prices at the time.

$49.99 on Amazon, at least for new accounts. Doesn't list an upgrade price, but certainly worth checking into.

paid $59.99 for mine on Amazon about a month ago, and $79 for a moment. Free activation at the time too so extra savings of $36x2. :D

If you're willing to do something a little sketchy, you can buy links on ebay to use other people's corporate discount sites. You get the phone for free (or really cheap) and then you get a percentage off your bill every month. The link will cost you like $25. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS, but I did it myself in November and it worked for me. If you get desperate, it is an option.

Rather than just saying this, how about providing a better option that is availabe now?

This is stupid and pisses me off to no end. Shit like this is why prices sky rocket and honest people lose nice perks like this.

No, I wasn't jesting. :) While I know how to shop, I appreciate deals others have found that are still available when I am looking to buy something, and there are many other folks who want help, as well. The OP asked if anyone knew of any great deals. I'm just saying that someone's suggestion was "highway robbery" doesn't realy help the OP, or anyone else that might look to this thread for help.

With that said. thanks for providing a suggestion. (not sure what "zip atm" means tho)... OH! zip code, at the moment, got it....

Just got mine off craigslist and the phone was brand new. I paid $200 for it. You can probably find it for cheaper in your area. Just make sure to call sprint and check the ESN number before handing the money over.

Agreed! If youd like to do it the simple way and the honest way, watch the bestbuy and radio shack adds. I did and bestbuy offered it a few weeks ago for like $99 out the door. They usually alternate back and forth but the reason i bought from best buy was because the price you pay, (say $99) is it. No hidden fees.
