Where to start looking for battery drain

I've noticed the past few weeks my battery has taken a big dip down. Litterally today went maybe 4-5 hours at most before it died. I was wondering where to start looking to find the drain.

download an app called spare parts it will tell you where your batt is being used

Uuummmm, did you read the thread here in the forums about changes to settings to reduce the drain? Have you instituted any of them? There are known issues which reduce battery life. Let us know...

I have since I picked up my hero a month and a half ago. But this was a sudden drastic change. My battery life has changed some but still not where it has been.

... Have you checked out Spare Parts yet? What apps did you recently install, try uninstalling them.
