There's a stock app called Where on the phone. I opened it up and accidentally hit "ok" before I was able to read the prompt. I could have swore I opened it in the past and it mentioned a $2.99 fee for the app. Anyone know what this is?

    just google it

    AT&T FAQ | WHERE

    It is an app
"WHERE allows you to quickly launch a mobile experience that puts the people, places and things you are looking for at your fingertips. This includes everything from weather, news, and restaurant reviews, to the closest coffee shop, cheapest gas, traffic updates, movie show times and more."

The app is free, you are paying AT&T $2.99 a month to use it (AT&T sucks).
You can still cancel the $2.99 service within 7 days of the trial period that you activated by clicking OK.

Yeah, cancel it and download ArroundMe from the Market. It was wonderful on the iPhone and as long as your GPS works fine, then it will be great on your Captivate. (It's FREE too!!)
