Ok, so I have searched, and could not find anything that addressed my question so here goes:

Which of these batteries do you suggest for my Eris? I am still in the 30 day period (and plan to upgrade if a newer phone is released within the period), but after that I am pretty sure I am going to get an upgraded battery.

    The current options are:

2x BATTERY+DESKTOP CHARGER FOR VERIZON HTC DROID ERIS - eBay (item 280468408194 end time Mar-22-10 19:05:38 PDT)

    or

Innocell 1750mAh Slim Extended Life Battery

The Seido one is larger and has a reputation, whereas the ebay one is slightly larger, but comes with the charger so that I can carry two. With the Seido, I would probably just do a complete replacement and not carry the extra. The ebay on is also vastly cheaper. <--not too big a factor, as if I keep the phone I will not cheap out on arguably one of the most important parts. However, as a colege student, the cheaper price is nice.

So, which do you have (other suggestions welcome)?

    Thanks,
    Nkk

I did the Seido 1750mAh battery. It fits without bulging and getting a new cover on the back and it lasts me all day with some pretty heavy use.

Once my stock 1300 battery stops lasting ALL day

(8am-11pm today with at least 1.5h of talk, 60 texts, using Remote VNC for about 90 minutes, lots of web browsing, and a couple of camera pictures today - brought me to 6% battery)

so that I can just charge it at night,

I'm just getting the $70 Seidio 3500mAh battery. The 1750 1/3 improvement doesn't seem worth it to me. By the time I'm spending $50 for that, I'd just add a little more heft to my Eris (which I want anyway) and get the one that lasts twice that long (almost 3x the normal Eris battery life, theoretically).

So at least look, for $20 more, at the one that's TWICE the capacity of the 1750mah. It'll last you a LONG time too. Even when it starts to 'get old', it'll last longer than the 1750.

If I were looking at the 1750, I'd probably just get the extra battery + desktop charger that you're looking at from eBay. You're not going to get more than ONE full day of heavy use, whether you have the stock one or the 1750, so you might as well just buy the stock one, or the 3500mAh.

    Good luck with that one.

See, I know that dollar-wise, the 3000mAh is the best. However, I really wanted to avoid the extra bulk. If I could try on in person before buying, and see how much it really added to the phone, then maybe. But blindly, no.

It looks like I am going with the 1750, but I still have 20 odd days to decide, as I am not buying it before I know I am keeping the phone.

    Thanks,
    Nkk

I agree that the 3500 would be the best way to go and I would pick that right now if there was a cover that fits it and as of now, there doesn't seem to be one. I like a cover on my phone.

I just got the Seidio 1750 battery last week. I notice a slight increase but nothing that is making me feel like this was a much needed purchase. I got a full day out of the stock battery, getting as low as 10% by 11pm. With the new Seidio I will get down to 30% maybe on average. Which means that I still have to charge it every night. The reason I got it was because I would like it to not actually run out of battery if I want to go out late or something. I could just use my car charger or plug it in with the USB to my laptop during the day at some point and the stock would be fine. I didn't have all the battery issues that some people did though. I would recommend the Seidio battery to you though simply because of the quality of the battery. I did order a battery charger off ebay to be able to charge my stock battery if needed, but I wouldn't trust the ebay batteries.

I just (finally) received my 1750 replacement, and am about to give it a full charge while I sleep (yes, I sleep during the day when I work overnights).
I will report after my first day's experience and hopefully again a couple days later to let you know what I think.
I had an iphone before my Eris, so I am used to needing to charge every night. My experience has been a little different than that of pkopalek's.
My Eris lasts usually one full day of moderate use with a large amount of variation in battery life results even with consistent usage habits.
I am not willing to give up the sexy lines of my Eris for the BIG battery (or my seidio innocase that I LOVE), so I'll make do with the 1750 battery to make sure I don't have to have any anxiety about lasting a full day. I'll let you know how that goes.
    Question(s):
Does your current OEM battery last you for a day?
    almost?
is that all you need, or do you need more?
If you do need more than a day for sure, I would suggest the BIG battery, or an extra battery/charger for sure.

(I cant get BOLD to shut off after copypasting
    pkopalek's name, sorry)

I take mine off the charger when I get up at 6.30 every morning. By 2pm I'm *always* below 50%, sometimes significantly below. By 6pm or so (roughly 12 hours) I'm in the red if I don't toss it on the car charger.

I bought the 3500 a couple weeks ago and don't regret it one bit! After heavy use the battery's still @ 50% at the end of the day! The phone definitely has more heft now but I feel it was needed and the replacement cover fits perfectly!

After a few days of use, I am disappointed with the 1750mAh battery. Not really that much better than the OEM. $50 that could have been spent on candy (frown).

I almost got the 1750, but decided to wait. I'm glad I did. I think a lot of people will be happier with 2.1. I have better battery life.

Very interesting. I was thinking a couple 1750's but I might just get a big one. The wife can have that and ill use hers as a spare for the weekends where I talk the battery out. Sounds like the middle of th road ain't worth it.

I bought the 1750 from seidio and I properly conditioned it as recommend through 8 full charge an full drain cycles and this thing lasts two days easy...if you are having short battery life with the seidio I recommend you return it and then properly condition the replacement.

the seidio 1750 plus the otterbox makes it a sturdy reliable phone and i am on 1.5 not 2.1

I personally don't need any extended battery. I can get through the whole day using iheartradio, Pandora, internet, games, texting, and calling. By the end of the day, I have about 20-50% of battery life depending on my usage. I charge my phone at around 6PM and take it off at 10PM and leave it on until it is 6PM the next day.

I bought the 1750 battery from Seidio the day it was released. There is no way the stock battery was getting me through the entire day. With the 1750 I can easily get through the entire day and night with 40% left.

Those that had the 1750 and are complaining, either you're using your phone a ton more, you've got bad battery management, your awake time is to high or you're just ******ed.

Had my 1750 for quite awhile now and i am very happy with it. It gets my threw my day and lasts threw to the night until I charge it while im sleeping. Very good investment IMO. I like the feel of my eris and didn't want to add the extra bulk of the 3500 !!!!!
