I'm at a stand still with my decision. I'm looking at the nexus 5, lg g3, HTC one m8, or S5. I know thats a lot of choices, but I can't make up my mind.

Well, what are your priorities? Battery life, OS, look/feel, camera etc.?
Budget? Carrier restrictions?

I'm with T-Mobile so budget is not a problem. I need battery life, I enjoy taking videos of the kids. I had an lg g2 and loved iut but had to switch back to apple because I wasn't getting texts from people with iphones. But they fixed that issue. I just don't want to end up with a crap phone.

Well, if you can hold out another week or so, take a look at the LG G3.
I think it'll basically offer everything you want, especially if you loved the G2 and the iOS text bug has been resolved.

I would favour the LG G3 but the Galaxy S5 has some features you may want.

Reviews for the LG G3 battery haven't been great - one test, and a second test. Should still last you the day though.

The Galaxy S5 and One M8 have good battery life.

Any reason your not considering the Xperia Z2? network compatibility?

Was also thinking Xperia Z2 OR if you want a complete allround beast, give the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 a look, still one heck of a smartphone, that's if you don't mind the size:

Never owned a Sony and I'm worried about update pushes since its not a main flagship

Not sure what you mean. The Z2 is the current Sony flagship.
