Just a curiosity - Why doesn't the Black Mist S4 back match the front? I doubt anyone will know and it's not the end of the world but I wonder why Samsung altered the color/appearance.

My guess is the front is more tame so it doesn't blind you with reflections and glare. The back is so reflective and patterned, it draws attention. So when you're using it or holding it up, more people will notice it and is basically free advertising for Samsung.

Yea the front is more tame so it doesnt distract and reflect in bright light. The back is more patterned to help hide scratches and stuff

Unfortunately, compared to my last phone, which was an S2, the back attracts fingerprints like nobody's business. It's a shame they didn't put an oleophobic coating on the back as well as the screen.
