why is there copper on the battery cover?

    if you look under your battery door, there is like abit that sticks out, and i accidently peeled a bit away, and it reveals a copper...sheet ...type thing...is it some sort of signal booster? what is it doing on the battery door?

    you can see the little shiny thing in the middle left area? whats it for?

    hmm could possible be either a signal booster or something to do with the battery

    Didnt manufacturers do this to reduce the SAR levels?

    i think its a heat sink, lithium batts can get a bit hot.

    It's not covering the battery, so it's more likely that copper is for reducing SAR levels as mentioned by nx1977.

    hmm i just checked inside of my back cover and i don't have these bit of copper sticking out. mine looks all filled up nicelly. hmm does anyone else have it?

    uh my bad, sorry didn't read it well as the screenshot was huge :) thanx for correcting me. so is it that easy to peel that plastic off?

    Ir probably is, but I don't see why you would need to be scratching it in the first place :)
