Help Why won't my Magic detect my SD card?

I recently bought a a second-hand Magic, nothing wrong with it but it won't detect my SD card! I plug it in, but nothing happens!
What's wrong with it?!
I can't take pictures, listen to music or watch my videos!

Suggest you use a USB card reader and copy everything off the SDCard ... then reformat the SDCard to FAT32 ...

Copy all your stuff back on to it ... and now you should have access to it with apps like ASTRO or when you mount it with your USB/Data cable

Formatting didn't work, but I found the solution:
When I got the phone, I switched out the enclosed SD card with my own, but it wasn't class 6 (and Android only supports class 6 SD cards), so I had to transfer all my stuff from my card to the enclosed one, and voil
